Bottom line, there is something so dang appealing about excellence coupled with humility.  It's so rare and this movie captures it so well and contrasts it even more sharply with it's uglier sibling, excellence coupled with cockiness.  The funny thing is, two guys accomplished the same thing.  The first is so arrogant and obnoxious about it that you sit there and think, "Ha, what a pseudo-accomplishment.  How lame."  But the second guy is such a humble down to earth struggling genius that when he accomplishes it you can't help but cheer for him and be truly glad that he became who he did.  I guess the bottom line is that you can let your accomplishments define you or you can define your accomplishments with your character.  This movie inspires me to do the latter.  There's always someone who is willing to laugh at your self-importance so it's likely pretty wise to laugh at yourself first and forestall the danger of taking yourself too seriously.
